Solomon’s Porch is the former Hospital for Lynch, Kentucky. It is now used to house ministry teams, youth groups, reunions and hold mission planning meetings. It’s also a retreat for anyone who needs to get away with God and find peace and rest in the mountains or work! Whichever the case may be. The facility also includes meeting rooms and a gift shop.

Community Christian Center is a different kind of church. What started off as a meeting of the Meridzo staff for worship and Bible study has grown into a new and thriving local assembly. Community Christian Center is a place where all people can come, they can learn, they can praise, and they can feel loved. The environment is relaxed and casual, free from barriers of race, gender bias, socio-economics and denomination.

WELCOME THE TIPTONS
Meridzo Center is excited to welcome the Tipton family. Terry “Brother T” and Leah Tipton (pictured with their kids Nicholas and Terah) are the new directors of Solomon’s Porch Retreat Center.

Brother T shared: “1 Corinthians 9:22; “To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.” Volunteer Youth Worker, Preacher, Evangelist, Youth Minister, Associate Pastor, Senior Pastor and now Co-Director of Solomon’s Porch are all titles that I’ve had over 29 years of ministry and counting. But the Lord has shown me over the years that He is not about titles, but the task. After wrestling with a call to join Meridzo for four years, God has brought our family to its new task, serving at Solomon’s Porch. Now, we will be housing and working with church groups, individuals and organizations from all over the world as they come to minister to the people of Appalachia. We look forward to meeting folks as they put their “cookie dough” to use in serving our Lord.”
