Community Christian Center is a different kind of church. What started off as a meeting of the Meridzo staff for worship and Bible study has grown into a new and thriving local assembly. Community Christian Center is a place where all people can come, they can learn, they can praise, and they can feel loved. The environment is relaxed and casual, free from barriers of race, gender bias, socio-economics and denomination.

2013 holds many many opportunities for sharing the message of hope in Jesus Christ! Several Mines here have already closed forcing hundreds out of work in an already distressed area. The Bible says “I know the plans I have for you plans,” says The Lord. He has placed Meridzo Center here in the middle of hopelessness to bring HOPE IN CHRIST.

Beginning today we will meet with representatives from Floyd County schools to talk of an after school program for children at the Meridzo’s Maytown Center in Langley! This could be an exciting beginning to a wonderful ministry to the region. Please pray for God’s presence and wisdom as we seek a full time Director for the Center. This is a Volunteer position and would be ideal for a couple desiring to launch a ministry from scratch!! This could be exciting. Contact Lonnie or Belinda Riley at 606-848-2766 to speak with them personally about this position.

FORWARD IN FAITH:Operation Completion. Will be in full swing this year. The Lord led us last year to impliment this in order to complete the many “open” projects that we have in order that ministry can turn up to high gear! We are believing our Lord for $250,000 to comlpete all these projects. The Lord has asked me to select 70 men upon whom He will put this same Spirit in order to accomplish this. Should the Lord direct you to be one of the Seventy call me and we will discuss simple ways the Lord has surfaced to complete this. Only the Lord can do this thing!!!!

This year will bring new staff. Many of the present staff are still getting acclimated to the Ministry and are doing quite well. Positions need to be filled at the Maytown Center, Chapel at Lake Cumberland, Assistants at the Stables, Shekinah Village, and Project Management. You can see we have a ways to go, but you will know how to pray for our ministry.

I’m reminded of the Five Loaves and Two Fish Miracle. Jesus saw the need, knew how to feed them, but allowed the Disciples to see the provision He already had and allowed them to participate in the Miracle!!! How amazing that our Lord would allow us to see and participate in a Miracke in the Mountains in 2013.

Why not commit to be a part of Meridzo Center Ministries this year in some way. Pray, support financially, physically come and be a pert of the staff family, bring a mission team during off peak times, or send materials for all community and ministry projects are some ways to get involved. You can whisper a prayer for us even as you read these words then obey the Spirits prompting.

With our Lord combining the resources of all of our partners and friends, this will be the best year yet!!

KEEP PRAYING AND WATCHING FOR THE FATHER

Lonnie Riley

CEO, Meridzo Center
